For No Reason

I am a police officer that works in a multicultural area of Eastern Metro Atlanta. I have contact with people from all walks of life. I hear all too often complaints that people "get arrested for no reason". I have been called everything from "the coolest cop that ever arrested me" to a "@#$%! uncle tom!" The statements don’t bother me. What does is, that my people (black Americans) don’t understand the law or how to conduct themselves under it. I am an avid listener to The Warren Ballentine Show, The Al Sharpton Show, The Michael Baseden Show. I have listened to the shows and realized that people (Minorities in general) do not understand the American Criminal Justice system and the purpose & reasons for law enforcement agencies. As a result they believe that they are arrested and put into "the system" for "No reason". I am starting a local magazine and this BLOGG to help better educate people.
